Winner of the 2021 Wine Tourism Trophies Golden Prize in the “Promotion of a terroir” category, the Maison des Vins Côtes de Provence is a gateway to the vineyards and terroirs.

With a vinothèque that’s home to 800 labels, a weekly selection of 16 wines for tasting and oenological workshops, the venue celebrates the great diversity of the Côtes de Provence appellation.

 

Visitors can explore the interactive panels in the company of five sommeliers to find out all about every stage involved in producing the cuvées and their typical characteristics.

 

As well as being a real showcase for the region's wine-making expertise, the Maison des Vins Côtes de Provence strives to transmit a passion for wine to a broad audience.

Located in the home of the Côtes de Provence appellation, Château de Berne is a venue that brilliantly combines the delights of the vineyard with the finest food.

 

Surrounded by a forest, a 143 hectare vineyard, an olive grove and a vast vegetable garden, the estate is a hymn in honour of the terroir of Provence.

 

With its sweet smell of the Midi, the setting is an endless source of inspiration for the chefs in the estate’s three restaurants: Le Jardin de Berne with its Michelin star, Le Bistrot and La Table du Chef.

Nestled in the heart of their wine regions, Provence's three Maisons des Vins showcase their appellations and allow you to uncover the special characteristics of their terroir. Enjoy tastings, oenology lessons and wines sold at producer prices.

Located in the heart of the appellation at Arcs sur Argens, the Maison des Vins Côtes de Provence offers 800 different wines sold at producer prices. You’ll also find expert advice, 16 wines to taste each week, oenology lessons, and a wide range of activities and events. As well as French, a host of other languages are spoken including English, German and Dutch! The added extras? This amazing location also caters to special requests, from events to seminars and receptions.

 

Located in the impressive grounds of the Abbaye Royale de la Celle, which dates back to the 12th century, Maison des Vins Coteaux Varois en Provence offers a weekly selection of wines to taste. The Abbey site and its park also contains a model vineyard and vine variety conservatory where numerous grape varieties are grown and displayed in a French formal garden. You’ll also find a selection of tasty Provencal local produce.

 

The association of la Sainte-Victoire winemakers (L’Association des Vignerons de la Sainte-Victoire) is now established within Maison Sainte-Victoire in Saint-Antonin-sur-Bayon. In a prestigious and fully renovated cellar, the Vinothèque showcases the wines produced by its 32 members: four cooperatives and 28 individual wineries in the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire AOC. Each week, visitors can come and taste a selection of 6 different wines to get to know and appreciate better Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire red wines and rosés and Côtes de Provence white wines.

Try out your swing among the vines of Provence

Amidst breathtaking scenery, enjoy a special golf and wine experience during a delightful four day and four night trip to Provence.

From the hinterland to the coast, this 225km route takes lovers of the open air, golfing greens and fine wines and food on a voyage of discovery as they explore the region’s simpler pleasures and highlights.

 

First stop: Barbaroux Golf Course. In the heart of Provence Verte and Verdon, this undulating and wooded 18-hole course sits in a remarkable natural setting. And with an adjoining hotel boasting 52 elegant rooms, as well as a wellness centre, this is the perfect place to both play golf and relax!

 

Next day it’s time for a wine tasting at Château des Demoiselles, where you’ll discover Côte de Provence AOP wines. The sensory experience continues in Roquebrune-sur-Argens with a visit to the Museum of Chocolate and Cocoa and the Maison du terroir. As for relaxation, there’s golf and a spa to enjoy! Both can be found at Domaines de Saint-Endréol with its 150-hectares of playing field and relaxation spaces. Roquebrune Golf Resort, a jewel in the Côte d’Azur's crown, organises an aperitif masterclass focusing on Château Vaudois wines and grape varieties produced in Provence’s terroir.

 

On the third day you’re off to family-run Château de l’Aumérade, a producer of Crus Classés wines. The trip continues with a stop in the flower-filled streets of Bormes-les-Mimosas, a village perched on a rocky outcrop. And finally, Domaine de Jasson, whose olive oil is produced from an olive grove planted in a former vineyard.

 

The journey draws to a close between Toulon and Bandol. After climbing Mont Faon via cable car and visiting the Memorial to the Allied Landings in Provence, steer course towards the Bandol wines oenotheque, a space dedicated to local terroirs and wines. And what better way to finish the trip in style than to practice your swing on one of the Dolce Frégate Provence Golf Club's courses, complete with sea view? As the sun sets, you can even enjoy an aperitif served at the 10th hole.

The up and coming wines of Pierrevert AOP

The estates of the Durance Luberon Verdon conurbation were formed into a Winegrowing and Agricultural Cooperative in 1925 and now sit within the Pierrevert AOP and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence PGI.

The Pierrevert AOP's vineyards sit at the crossroads of the Alps and Mediterranean, benefiting from a sunny climate and incredibly diverse range of terroirs!

 

The AOP’s estates continue to make their mark at a national and international level due to the quality of their wines. All of its wines are produced using either organic or sustainable methods, with rosé the local star.
