Vignévasion or a great escape with the taste of Provence

Ah, Provence! With its bright sunshine, singing cicadas and picture-postcard landscape, the region is just the place for a wonderful getaway. So, if you’d like a magical break, follow us!

Climb aboard Vignévasion’s minivan and travel over the roads that criss-cross the garrigue, exploring the hinterland and vineyards of Provence on a day or half-day expedition. Enjoy the change of scenery, relax and have some fun! You’ll be accompanied by a guide as part of a small group, stepping off the beaten track to meet the men and women who bring this unique terroir to life.

The six themed excursions, which start from Aix-en-Provence, will immerse you in the world of Provençal wine – and lots more besides! In fact, these tours also highlight the region’s other unique features: its lavender, perfumes, confectionery and olive oil... in short, there’s something for every nose and palate!

There are over a dozen museums, wineries and other craft manufacturers in total, all which are partners on these discovery trails. Wine growers and producers alike will be happy to entertain you in a friendly atmosphere and authentic setting, sharing and chatting about their expertise.

The wine growers will introduce you to every stage of the winemaking process. Surrounded by vines or in the cosy cellars, they will show you the special features of the appellations that have made Provence so famous: Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence and Coteaux Varois in Provence, among other great wines...

And you can carry on indulging yourself when lunchtime comes: depending on the season, you’ll enjoy a gourmet picnic in a wine estate or a good meal in a typical village. In peace and calm, and far away from the crowds, you’ll be able to savour some hedonistic delights that are rooted in the local gastronomy.

When your wine adventure in the heart of Provence comes to an end, you’ll leave with your souvenir album tucked under your arm – a little something in your luggage to remind you of this land that is full of colour, flavour and kindness!
